It is our mission to help adult learners improve their literacy and numeracy skills as well as provide community capacity building programs.

Registration fees must be paid by the registration deadline to guarantee your spot and ensure we have enough to run the programs.

Unless stated otherwise, programs are held at the Northern Lakes College Main  campus (beside Boondocks)



FOUNDATIONAL LIFE SKILLS


The first offering will run January 21st to March 21st

The first 2 weeks classes will be on Monday & Wednesday evenings - 6:00 to 8:30pm for Basic Computers

the following 7 weeks will run 10:00am to 3:00pm every Tuesday and Thursday

The program will cover: 

Class 7 drivers; Drugs, Alcohol & Opiods; Anger Management; Budgeting & Banking; Health, Wellness & Nutrition; Job Readiness

There is no registration fee for this program but you must pre-register by January 17th

This class is designed to help anyone improve their life skills and job readiness

The first 2 weeks classes will be on Monday & Wednesday evenings - 6:00 to 8:30pm for Basic Computers

the following 7 weeks will run 10:00am to 3:00pm every Tuesday and Thursday

The program will cover: 

Class 7 drivers; Drugs, Alcohol & Opioids; Anger Management; Budgeting & Banking; Health, Wellness & Nutrition; Job Readiness

There is no registration fee for this program but you must pre-register by March 25th

This class is designed to help anyone improve their life skills and job readiness



COOKING CLASSES: 


All classes are $35 each - this covers both items in each class

Held at E.W. Pratt High School - 10:00 to 2:00

1. February 23rd - Shepherd's Pie - registration deadline is February 18th 

2. March 23rd -Cakes (we will make 1 Chocolate & 1 carrot)  - registration deadline is March 18th 

3. April 27th  - Perogies - registration deadline is April 22nd



ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE


January 29th to April 18th 

 Every Tuesday and Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 

this class will be held at the Main Campus (beside Boondocks)

Registration fee is $50 to $100 - depending on materials needed for you

Registration deadline is January 23rd   



ANGER MANAGEMENT - MEN'S GROUP


Starts February 26th to April 2nd (every Tuesday) for 6 weeks   -  (6:00 to 8:00)

No Registration fee 

Registration deadline is February 20th  

this class will be held at the Main Campus (beside Boondocks)

This six week program will look at how to deal with anger and the underlying cause and effect.

 We will give you tools to help deal with your emotions in an appropriate way

Starts February 28th to April 4th  (every Thursday for 6 weeks) - 6:30 to 8:30

No Registration fee

Registration deadline is February 22nd

This six week program will look a how to deal with anger and the underlying cause and effects. 

We will give you tools to help deal with your emotions in an appropriate way.
