It is our mission to help adult learners improve their literacy and numeracy skills as well as provide community capacity building programs.

You can register for ANY of our programs at the Northern Lakes College Main Campus in High Prairie (beside Boondocks)

Registration fees must be paid by the registration deadline to guarantee your spot and ensure we have enough to run the programs.

Unless stated otherwise, programs are held at the Northern Lakes College Main  campus (beside Boondocks)

The only program there is a charge for is the cooking class, ALL other programs are run at no charge but you MUST pre-register


CLASS 7 LEARNERS PERMIT


This class will be held at Gift Lake

April 9, 11, (10:00 to 3:00) AND April 16 and 18 (10:00 to noon)

This program will help prepare anyone looking at taking their class 7 test

DRUGS, ALCOHOL & OPIOIDS


This class will run in Gift Lake on April 11 & 16 (1:00 to 3:00)

This program will help anyone get a better understanding of the affects and consequences of using

ANGER MANAGEMENT - MEN'S GROUP


Starts April 9th to May 14th (every Tuesday) for 6 weeks   -  (6:00 to 8:00)

No Registration fee 

Registration deadline is April 4th   

this class will be held at the Main Campus (beside Boondocks)

This six week program will look at how to deal with anger and the underlying cause and effect.

 We will give you tools to help deal with your emotions in an appropriate way



COOKING CLASSES: 


All classes are $35 each - this covers both items in each class

Held at E.W. Pratt High School - 10:00 to 2:00

3  April 27th  - Perogies - registration deadline is April 22nd



UP SKILLS - SOFT SKILLS FOR EMPLOYMENT


This includes: Motivation; Attitude; Accountability; Presentation; Team Work; Time Management

April 30th - 10:00am to 3:00pm

At Northern Lakes College West Campus (beside Polaris)

INTRO TO COMPUTERS


April 29, May 1, 6 & 8 

6:00 to 8:30   Registration deadline is April 24

Brian will help you get a better understanding of what you can do on a computer

As well as learning how to make the most of your computer



HEALTH & WELLNESS WITH THE DIATICIAN


May 7 - 10:00 to noon

registration deadline - May 3

You will look at what sugar looks like in our food choices and how we may want to rethink our choices

she will help you read and understand reading labels



MONEY MATTERS


May 7 (1:00 to 3:00) and May 9 (10:00am to 3:00pm)

registration deadline - May 3

this workshop covers: spending plans, budgets, banking, borrowing and saving
